VITA, or Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, is a United Way-run program that offers free tax help to the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) members of Collier and Monroe Counties, bringing real money back into the hands of our neighbors in need.

About VITA
United Way of Collier and the Keys’ (UWCK) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is powered by dedicated volunteers serving Collier and Monroe Counties. VITA provides free tax preparation services to help eligible individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet file accurately and maximize their refunds. During the most recent tax season, UWCK’s VITA program assisted 682 taxpayers, resulting in a combined $384,624 in tax refunds returned to our community. UWCK is deeply grateful to the volunteers who continue to give their time and expertise year after year to support local residents.
